• Collaborate cross-functionally to brainstorm, refine and implement creative solutions

Reporter Magazine

Art Director: July 2015 - December 2015
 

• Ensure the visual quality of the magazine.

• Set the overall design of the magazine, including the use and placement of fonts, photos, color scheme, and graphic elements.

• Work with the Photo Editor, Section Editors, and the Print Managing Editor to coordinate imagery for the magazine.

• Assign Illustrators and Designers to specific articles and review their work before the magazine is packaged. 

• Work with the Photo Editor in planning and creating the cover when applicable.

• Approve all imagery in the magazine.

• Lead a team of designers to design the magazine every month. 

• Research the latest trends in design and incorporate them in Reporter as appropriate.

 

Online Art Director: August 2014 - July 2015

• Managing writing and art staff to publish Reporter Online.

• Ensuring team creates high-quality work within deadlines.

• Responsible for all product design and branding for Reporter.
